Same Lies Different Debate

It was a chore, but I watched the GOP debate in Arizona last night and as usual the noses on the candidates shot out of their faces as lie after lie crossed their lips. Some of the lies were new, but some were regurgitated. Here is an article from Yahoo news that sets the record straight.

BUDGET: Obama vs. Romney...and more

I found this very informative video on Rachel Maddow. This is pretty straight-forward logic. IMHO

Yeah. People Who Want to Scam The Government Should Be Drug Tested

Here is a clip from the Daily Show...just a little peek into the Florida Law that Governor Rick Scott introduced that would require poor people who want to apply for welfare to pay for and submit to a drug test. I have friends who think this is a great idea. I wonder about people like that, especially since some of them aren't that far away from the welfare line as it is. Oh, and if you really look into this mess, you will learn that Rick Scott owns some kind of interest in the drug testing companies. Gee, why does that NOT surprise me?

We the People, Not We the Corporations

On January 21, 2010, with its ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, the Supreme Court ruled once again that corporations are persons, entitled by the U.S. Constitution to buy elections and run our government. Human beings are people; corporations are legal fictions.

We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.

The Supreme Court is misguided in principle, and wrong on the law. In a democracy, the people rule. We Move to Amend.
