Why Calf Rope?

When I was a kid I used to wrestle and play around with my Dad, and when he had enough of my nonsense, he would sometimes pin me down or hold my arm up behind my back, bringing me up on my toes. I would continue to struggle, but to get free I had to yell "Calf Rope."

Now, when it comes to our current state of affairs, politics and crazy news, I often feel kind of powerless and stepped on by forces bigger than myself ... but I won't yell Calf Rope.

I will not give up. I will not be quiet. Instead, I will continue to expose the lies, shine a light on my truth and speak out about what matters to me.

My Dad would want me to do that.
