This is a topic that needs to be discussed. That's why I am posting a recent article from Vanity Fair magazine and inviting you to read it and leave a comment. I just don't understand where the problem is with changing some of the tax codes to tie up some loop holes and tighten up what mega corporations can wiggle through as they continue to rake in record profits.
Watch this video by Senator Bernie Sanders, Independent from Vermont, as he talks about the top ten worst corporate Income Tax avoiders.
The other thing I don't understand is why so many of the people I know, conservative and liberal, aren't speaking out about this?
What happened to fair play? What happened to equality of opportunity for all in America? What happened to our sense of community? No one seems to care anymore.

Bernie is hardly an Independent, but regardless, he has to really ignore the facts to blame the Republicans for any tax policies, good or bad. The Congress is in charge of the purse stings and who has been in charge of Congress the past 4 years? If the Dems want want to tax the rich corporations, why didn't they do it??
ReplyDeleteThey controlled the House, the Senate and the White House. They did what they wanted...health care, stimulous, increased government employees by 22%, took over GM and on and on. But Bernie has the gall to blame the Repubs for not taxing the rich?? All they had to do was vote for it. No Repubs could stop them. It's a weak argument to criticize those with no power, and the Repubs have had no power for four years.

OMG Mz Huff just sold her website for $350,000,000--- yes, more than a quarter of a billion, and she pays her contributors nothing? Yea, it's the evil rich that are the problem all right. The site is more biased than Fox ever dreamed of.
