American Shame

I find it interesting that some politicians continue to brag about how "exceptional" the United States is. Truth be known, we are not even close to being the best at most of the things that really matter. Here is a table from the international Monetary Fund. Our Student Performance is the most dismal and revealing. We are not the world leader that many would still believe. Now look at Food Insecurity. We rank right at the top with people who do not have enough money to buy food for their families. And don't forget to look at the prison population. Those numbers are off the charts. I'm sorry, but we do not look like an exceptional country. It's a shame. All of it is a big shame.

  1. I liked your post because for once I see someone who tells the truth. As an american Indian, I could write more than a novel on the above post. the so called "american" proud citizens have no real clues to who they really are. They don't seem to have any courage nor sense of reality when it comes to self scrutiny.
